No matter the season, the magic of Hérou always works its charm: to come here is to want to come back!
The Promenade du Hérou is a 6 km loop located in Nadrin , in the municipality of Houffalize , in the Walloon Region. This route offers hikers an immersive experience with breathtaking views of the Ourthe Valley and paths that wind through impressive rock formations.
The starting point is located at the Belvédère du Hérou car park.
From the parking lot, take the marked path which descends towards the Ourthe river, offering spectacular views of the valley right from the start.
Belvédère du Hérou : A viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the meanders of the Ourthe and the surrounding forests.
Rock formations : The trail crosses characteristic rock outcrops, bearing witness to erosion and time.
Ourthe Valley : An immersion in a preserved natural environment, with the possibility of observing local wildlife.

After following the river, the path climbs back up towards the viewpoint, offering new perspectives on the Ardennes landscape.
