Not far from Durbuy , in the small village of Villers-Sainte-Gertrude, the Roche à Frêne fascinates with its fantastical shapes and numerous legends. This site, steeped in history, is said to have originated from a pact made between the Wild Boar of the Ardennes, Guillaume de la Marck, and the Devil in the 15th century to build a dam… which is now the Roche à Frêne! Several caves with mysterious names are scattered throughout the rock formation: the Nutons' Hole, the Bear's Gallery, the Giants' Cauldron…

La Roche à Frène is primarily aimed at experienced climbers (grades 4-6), with 27 routes and a height of up to 25 meters. Its summit and heavily wooded surroundings offer a typical Namur natural environment.
