Brasserie Fantôme was founded in 1988 by Dany Prignon and his father in the small village of Soy , in the Province of Luxembourg . Their goal was to revive their hamlet by drawing inspiration from the centuries-old local recipes for table beers : in the past, each village had its own drink, and breweries were places for meeting, discussion and friendship.

Its name "Phantom" evokes the famous Princess Berthe , the ghost of La-Roche-en-Ardenne who was the source of many legends.

The brewery has remained family-owned and is distinguished by the diversity of its products . It produces 750 liters per week and offers natural beers without additives or preservatives . Among their range, you can find Fantôme , their fruity "best-of" , La Saison d'Erezée , brewed with seasonal ingredients (its taste therefore varies regularly!), Fantôme Chocolat , an amber ale with cocoa , and finally Fantôme Spécial Noël , a caramelized brown ale .

Brewery tours are available on request, on weekends and during school holidays . It is also possible to organize a tasting of five cheeses and a beer in addition to a tour ( minimum 30 people and reservation required ).

The Brewery is also very active culturally : its “brotherhood” organizes a “Carnival at the Brewery” with food, costumes and music , as well as a vintage car rally with tasting of local beers on May 1st !
